Itinerary Description:
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Pick-up at New Delhi Airport. Check-in Hotel. Over Night at Hotel
DAY 02: Delhi
Full Day Sightseeing in Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.
In afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayuns Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past Presidents House, Parliament House, and Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Over Night at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Sawai Madhopur - Ranthambore
Early Morning Drive to Ranthambhore. Evening Safari in National park. Over Night at hotel.
Day 04: Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
Morning Safari in National park.
After lunch, drive to Agra, enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, a place built during 1571 and 1585. Fatehpur Sikri is one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendour at its height. Arrive Agra check into the hotel. Over Night at Hotel.
Day 05: Agra
Full Day Sightseeing at Agra. In morning visit the famous Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal, made out of white marble took 22 years to complete (1630-1652 AD).
In afternoon, visit Agra fort. Built principally as a military establishment by Akbar in 1565, the red sandstone Agra fort was partially converted into a palace during Shah Jahan time. Then visit Itmad-ud-daulah. This tomb belongs to the father of Nur Jahan, Ghias-ud-Din Beg. He was the Wajir or the Chief Minister of Emperor Jahangir. This white marble tomb was built by Nur Jahan between 1622 and 1628.
Day 06: Agra - Delhi
After breakfast. Transfer to Delhi. Drop at Delhi Airport. |
