Kerala is divided into three regions - the coastal lowlands, the fertile midlands and the highlands. The lowlands of Kerala are networked by endless backwaters and the deltas of forty four rivers.

Itinerary Description:
Day 1 : Arrival and stay at Cochin after sightseeing.
Arrive Kochi and the Representative will meet and thereafter transfer to Hotel. Afternoon you can go for the sightseeing of Cochin. Here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500 year old Portuguese Houses, Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets,16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese, this Palace contains some of Indias most beautiful murals. Evening go for shopping. Stay at hotel.
Day 2 : Munnar. Sight seeing and stay at hotel.
Morning after breakfast drive to Munnar. On the way to Munnar, you can see tea gardens spread like green carpets over hundreds of kilometers, lust green hills, This is a scenary which is so difficult to describe, Munnar is low in population and too far from pollution. Most of the estates are covered by Tata tea. On arrival check in to the Hotel. You can stroll through the tea estates in the evening. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 3 : Munnar. Sight seeing and stay at hotel.
Today you can go for Munnar sightseeing which includes the Raja Malai, a top peak of Munnar where you can see Neelgiri Thar. Neelgiri Thar is a type of mountain goat, which is under the threat of extinction. You can visit Mattupetty dam. Stay at hotel.
Day 4 : Thekkady.
After breakfast continue to Thekkady, South India most popular wild life sanctuary, its home to bison, wild elephant, boar, languor, the great Indian tiger and more. On arrival check in to Hotel. Afternoon you can go for boat cruise in the Lake to watch wild animals. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 : Kumarakom. Overnight stay in houseboat.
Drive to Kumarakom by noon, you can see panoramic backwater stretches, lush paddy fields at Kumarakom. Evening check in to a traditional Kerala style Houseboat. Cruise through the backwater, stay overnight at Houseboat.
Day 6 : Departure from Cochin after shopping. |
